it was actually a panel like the older cherokees. It did not look good in person either but I had to take a picture of it.Gets an A for being unique but thats it

You could do it the ******* way. Find some used plywood, cut to shape (doesn't need to be exact), and, actually nail/screw it onto your Patriot.

I may be wrong but I think I may have seen some "woody" kits at one time but I can't say if it was for the Patriot or not. Maybe SuzQ (or any other brave soul) could do some Photoshop rendering to see how the Patriot would look.

Here's the kit for the Commander. Doesn't look bad in my opinion. Just too expensive though.

To me, it's in the league with those faux convertible tops that some folks have put on Grand Marquis or DeVilles. I think most of us like to personalize our vehicles, I guess I'm just more subtle and lean towards functional stuff.

I actually saw a 2003 Liberty with the "Wagoneer" package which was the wood grain sides at my local Jeep dealership when we were purchasing a new Jeep. It was an expensive option:) It took them along time to sell it too, but I still see it running around town. I think Grand Wagoneers look naked with out the wood sides.

"PTWoody . com" sells them for all Jeeps and other vehilces except the Patriot. Someone posted a "Photo shopped" picture of a Jeep-Green Patriot some time ago. Thought it looked great. I saw a new Liberty locally near me in dark red with the kit - looked good. The Liberty kit is around $800 plus installation - though they say you can do it yourself. There are other resellers at other prices.
