Mine is the Sport 4x4, trail rated with Music Gate. They gave me $ 18,800.00 for my Chrysler 300 and I was still owing $ 20,500.00 on it. Therefore, final price is $480/month for 6 years ?

Who got the best deal ? :pepper:

I received $500 under dealer invoice which came to 19,499 for the 08 Sport as listed below. Plus they gave me $1000 trade-in on my 2000 Jeep Cherokee Sport with 193k+ miles - was hoping for more, but I can't complain. I'm happy.

Mine is a 2007 Limited 4X4, FDII with Off Road, NAV, sunroof, tow group

Stickered at $32,650 CDN settled at $29,304 CDN. All prices include $100 A/C Excise tax (it's a Canadian thing) and $1100 destination.

A $29,000 loan @ 5.9% apr for 6 years works out to be $480 per month.

You carried over $1700 from your previous loan... which means you purchased your Patriot for $27,300.

This is $25,871.72 USD... this doesn't sound so good to me... are there higher vehicle taxes in Canada or is just the MSRP higher?

something like 5% below MSRP here through the Chrysler Friends program... I only had $1000 to put down at the moment and they offered me next to nothing for trade so I refused... in the end after all the extended warranties and whatnot, Im at $425/month for 7 years, lol.

Higher MSRP. The Manufactures price the vehicles as if the Canadian Dollar was worth 70 Cents US. It's actually worth more like 95 Cents US.

A good article on the problem:

You can see the pricing here:

I picked up mine last Saturday.

2008, Lt. Khaki, 25E package (includes Yes Essentials and Cruise control now), Tow Package (includes Full Size Spare now), Tire and Wheel package, Freedom Drive I (4X4).

Paid $18,958...9% below MSRP.

After taxes, title, and a hefty down payment I am at $289 per month for 60 months.

My patriot North as listed in my notes on the bottom comes out to almost 27500 with taxes, the car prices have not changed even if our dollar is worth almost as much as the US $$$ so we end up paying much more for cars, its always been this way... So my patriot is about 7000 to 8000 more then the same US one. That's life!!!! Not so back I got 6000 for my 98 CRV with 140 000 kms and almost 2000$ off for friends and family... so comes to 20 000. My dad got a Pontiac Torrent at 0% financing for 60 months, now that's a savings... around 5000$ savings in interest alone!!

Ciao!!!

PS: we have 15% taxes in Québec :O( :O( So for real we got our truck at 23 900$ MSRP - 6.5%.

Mine stickered at 26,800, paid 24,800 (4x4 Limited loaded 5sp).

I was in Norway this spring, beautiful country, but it is expensive. The women are too tall too... Made me look like a midget...LOL

What is "Music Gate"? I never heard of it.

For me, it's not about "getting the best deal". It's about a fair deal. I want the dealership to make a fair profit and for me to pay a fair price. Having said that, I paid $375 over dealer invoice.

$19,400

for 2007 patriot,
with Auto/AC, CVTII, Freedom Drive, Offroad crawl ratio, Tow package,
Premium seats, i know i'm spilling something,
didnt go for the $3000 or so for power windows/locks
Even when sold at dealers invoice, dealerships still make a profit,
dealerships get rebates aside from customers rebates,
also monthly incentives geared at dealerships to move cars/meet quotas etc...

I forget the exact price of my Pat but I believe it was around $23k. I made out pretty well on my trade in and with a few extra dollars down I got my payments right around $400/mo for 60 months. I think I got hammered alittle on my APR, but oh well.

That price also includes an added on 10 year/100,000 mile bumper-bumper warrenty too :)
