Hi jeepers, I'm from Venice Italy.
I'm sailor and land surveyor.
Not a Patriot owner at this time, but surely I'll buy a CRD Limited w/Technology pack on July '1
0. My american dream, 'I'll mio sogno americano'.
I'm crazy for Patriot but here in Italy isn't a bestseller so there are only three colors: Grey, Black and White. No Green Jeep Metallic.
I'll must buy a Black one.
Just today I've read about a Pat restyling in October 2010.
But I think it's only a remote possibility for Italian buyers.
Have a nice day, Claudio

Welcome! :D

Sorry, but I got all excited when I saw you were from Venice. I used to live in Venice, but in Florida....not the REAL Venice Italy.

Glad to have you here on JP......:smiley_thumbs_up:

I was just playing Assassin's Creed II, part of the game is set in Venice during the renaissance. It is a Beautiful city. I’ve never been there, the closest I’ve been to Venice was a emergency landing at Aviano Air Base in Italy on my way to Iraq a few years back.

Thanks guys, sure Venice is a nice city and Italy too... if U are a tourist.
I love US, I've been in NYC and NJ just before 9/11.
I'm a William Least Heat Moon fan, readed all his books.
Expecially 'Blue Highways' that I consider a road-book for my next holiday in US (summer 2011). Hope with a Patriot! :pepper:

Bye and I hope to drive a Patriot soon!

I Agreeeeeeee!! Black Patriot.....:smiley_thumbs_up::smiley_thumbs_up::smiley_thumbs_up::smiley_thumbs_up::smiley_thumbs_up: I'm jus a little Biased!!

Not sure I'd agree with you there, but then it was Day 5 and I think we hit a wall of sensory overload. Too many people and too many people trying to sell you something.

Did have a great walk early the last morning from The Rialto bridge up to Piazza Roma.

Do you park on the mainland and commute into Venice?

Last morning? Are U in Venice NOW? :wow::wow:

Every day I usually park my car before 'Ponte della LibertĂ ' (a bridge 2 miles long that connect Venice to the mainland). Just yesterday morning get a fee!! :(:(
Then take a bus to Venice (Piazzale Roma) where I work.

Regarding 'people trying to sell u something', in Venice it's a minority.
Try Naples or Rome... or better try El Cairo (Egypt) and you'll see!!!

However have a nice stay!!!

Welcome Claudio ... Jeep Patriot is "apre il tuo cuore ...". I`ve been to Venice, truly nice place and it`s a shame that it`s sinking ... at least that`s what they say. Keep us posted on your purchase, sĂ?
Yes sinking is a problem. But there are many construction sites near the Adriatic See that are building the 'MOSE', three huge moving dams.

These dams will be placed (by thousands steel stakes) in the 3 mouths ('bocce di porto' in italian) by Lido island that separate the Adriatic Sea from the lagoon.
The dams close when there are tides that are higher than 110 cms.
It will take about 10 years to complete. In 2013 Venice should be safe.

So don't worry about Venice :smiley_thumbs_up:, many other cities are in worst situation!! Male (Maldives), Amsterdam (NL), New York city (US)....
