Howdy everybody,

Sold my 97 Range Rover two weeks ago and decided to go back to JEEP after owning a 96 Cherokee before the Range. I found this great-looking (what else?) black Patriot in Vienna with leather, tinted windows, and tow bar and ordered a suitable licence plate. This will be my company's vehicle with a MUSIC-SHOP ALTMAN logo complementing the licence plate.

I've had it for a day now and it drives great. It has low mileage (10k miles = 16k kms), it's two years old exactly but looks and feels like new.

I'd appreciate some advice regarding what to look out for in the near future. I have another year of warranty, the annual servicing should be done in January.

Happy New Year everybody!

Hello, A Happy New Year & Welcome!! Did you get the Diesel or Petrol Model???

Welcome! I have not heard of any consistent issues cropping up, at certain times or milage, as of yet. Most folks are pretty willing to share their experiences, so I would think if there was something we'd hear. I know some folks had the leak issue, there's a big thread on it here, but it seems you either do or not for that one right from the beginning of ownership.

MPG

It's the Diesel version.

I was wondering if anybody can share his MPG experience with the Diesel. It seems that within the city the car uses an average 10 Liters / 100 km. I went for a longer ride yesterday (driving at 140kmh/80-85mph for an hour) and the display decreased to 7.7, then went up to 8.4 again. Converted to miles per gallon this would be 24 to 30. Does anyone make it over 30 here? (the promised 6.6 liters in the ads would correspond to 35 MPG). Or is the bord computer inaccurate?

Hello Friend, welcome to the "Pat" Family. with a little careful driving you can achieve anything up to 45+ miles to the gallon. i'm sorry I cant convert that to Km's, maths was never my strongest skill. Either way, you'll love it. Specially the way it doesn't empty your bank account at the fueling stations! :smiley_thumbs_up:

To get true economy you wont get it cruising at 80-85 MPH---- Mine does 45+Mpg but only at 50-55 MPH in 6th gear. I have never got below 35 MPG on my EVIC
