I just wanted to leave a quick thank-you.

A couple of months ago, I decided it was time to replace my car. My husband drives a Wrangler and we needed a second vehicle with decent MPG. So...I started thinking SUV or crossover.

I lurked on this forum for a couple of days prior to purchasing my Patriot. I was worried about it being underpowered, cornering like a tub on skids, etc. After reading both the good and the bad here, I felt confident making my purchase. Thanks for all the input!

The Patriot is a perfect compromise between the options that I needed for road trips and that certain something about a Wrangler that makes me grin. I love driving it all clean and shiny but...I won't lie. If I happen to drive it through a muddy field, I take great joy in driving it around with the mud splatters up the side for a few days too!

Hello & welcome !!--Perhaps you would like to tell us what part of the world you are from & what Model/Options you bought.....Cheers!!

I purchased a 2007 limited (trail rated) in central Illinois. I'm not really certain what all of the options came with the limited package and what might have been add ons. I do love the BA sound!

My only problem now is that I still haven't settled on a comfortable way to differentiate between our vehicles. My husband's Wrangler has always been "the Jeep" and mine was "the car." I guess things are fantastic if that's my only issue, no?
