I know that the Patriot's hood tends to float or flap slightly but today my hood actually popped up like I had hit the hood release. I was doing about 55 mph into a decent wind and all the sudden the hood really started bouncing up and down. I turned so that I wasn't driving into the wind and it still moved around alot. I pulled over and found that my hood was up like I was about to open it. I relocked it and finished driving home and had no issues. Has this happened to anyone else???

adjusting the bump stops is all i found that can be done without really messing around with it. Minimal flapping but still gives me the #$@%s on windy days.

Almost all hoods show some movement, especially in high winds. They are just thinner and lighter than they used to be. I had to adjust the stops after I added the hood shield on mine.

I don't like where the lever is to open the hood and I've accidentily released mine with my foot already, and then had to go fully open the hood and reclose it so it would latch again. So maybe that's what happened to you, maybe when you exited the vehicle the time before you bumped that release with your foot but didn't notice till the next time you drove it?

Thats the best thing with Right Hand Drive, I cant accidentaly kick the bonnet ( hood ) release, because its on the passenger side.
