Good day everyone. I’m in need of a “noise expert”😄.
today i was driving and started hearing a random rattling noise from the front end of the car. It almost sounds like a small screw/piece of glass/chip(very small stone) is trapped somewhere and is rattling with the rumble of the car (about 10 rattles per second).
I pulled the car over, opened the bonnet, couldn’t hear nothing from the engine bay, but my girlfriend says she can still hear it from the inside of the car.
the sound is more apparent, somewhere between the radio and the floor of the car. The sound keeps coming and going every minute, and came out of no where.
there is no pattern to it, like for example, not when I’m changing gears, pressing clutch/break/gas e.t.c. It’s not affecting the drive at all, everything feels as it should be mechanically. No changes when I click through all my electric appliances.
I haven’t done any work to the car previous to this sound so I am left completely clueless to what it could be.
I know this is very far fetched and won’t probably find a direct answer, but some guidance would be great if anyone has heard a similar sound or has diagnosed something similar. Thanks a lot!
