ok honest question are there any big differences between the two as far as suspension, frame, and those sort of things that would keep me from getting mopar part from a second gen, and using them on my first gen pat?:|
 
Hmmm......There must have been some suspension changes in the 2011+ refresh. All of the major shock absorber companies offer struts for the 2007-2010 models, but none of them offer struts for the 2011+ models. I haven't checked other suspension components.

There also might be some slight engine differences after 2009, when FCA bought out the rights to the GEMA agreement and "might" have made some minor engine design changes (according to my FCA dealer mechanic friend). Changes were made, but I can't remember what they are.

2011+ are 1" higher than their predecessors (unless it was FDII)
