My Pat keeps wanting to overheat, goes a little over the halfway got mark. It usually does not run that hot but something's not right and I can't figure it out.

The radiator, hoses, and both thermostats were replaced less than 1 year ago. So really I don't think it's any of those. Today 6/21/23 I replaced the water pump but the heating issue still remains!

Is it the fans?
I noticed the car ran for 17 minutes before the fans turned on, the car was already on the halfway mark. The fans didn't do much then a few minutes later when the needle passed the halfway mark the the fans got louder/faster but it still didn't do much change and I shut the car off. Any input please!!!

Is there debris, like dead bugs or leaves, etc. blocking the fins of the radiator or AC condenser? Are the fins all straight? Maybe try blasting out the fins with a garden hose or compressed air.

I posted an answer to an identical post in another section. Refer to that for a good answer, and maybe don't put redundant posts in multiple sections? Would be nice to be able to keep better track of things.

I understand your desperation! There's nothing worse than a vehicle overheating. I saw a couple of good leads in other threads you posted that are worth checking out, but here are a couple more things to consider.

You mention that the radiator, thermostats, etc, were replaced less than a year ago, and that leads me to a couple of further questions. Based on the time of year, is this the first time your Pat has driven in the kind of heat you are experiencing where you live since you got your coolant system parts replaced? Did you do it yourself, or did you take it to a shop? I am asking because on a previous car before I learned to do things myself, I had a mechanic put the wrong type of coolant in the car, and the next summer I started having similar problems. 2012 and earlier models of Patriots use a different type of coolant than later models. It might be worth verifying that you have the right type of coolant, and if not flushing it and replacing it with the right kind.

Not sure about your replacement parts, but do I get to keep doing ad nauseam reminders about the declining quality of after market parts, LOL? Glad that the issues is resolved and I second the complement to todde702 with his expertise and quality advice.
