Hi everyone,

This is my first time on the patriot website. So yesterday it warmed up just above freezing and then dropped below freezing as night fell. I went to open my back hatch, and upon trying to do so (pulled way to hard thinking the ice would give way), I pulled off the back hatch handle cover. Fortunately the handle came with it so that did not break off and I can still open the hatch. However, there were two white plastic fasteners that popped out, which appear to hold the handle cover on (the little strip with the decal on it). Anyways, I tried to line up the two white plastic set screws to where they latch back into the back of the jeep, but when I line them up and try to push the handle cover back on it will not latch. It doesn't seem like there is enough give in the plastic for the screws to pop back into there holes. Does anyone have experience with this. Any advice would be GREATLY appreciated.

Thanks

Nick

Huh, mine also just broke off. One part that holds the rivets looks like it broke off too. Same problem also, ice on rear bumper probably froze seal.

Upon further inspection, one of the brackets that holds the rivet broke on mine as well. I super glued it since the bracket piece was still in the rivet. Hoping it will hold but since that bracket takes the weight of the pull, im not going to get my hopes up.
