I owned a '05 Liberty up until last 7/13/07. I traded down?:icon_rolleyes: Yeah. I hauled that sucker in exchange for a Pat:smiley_thumbs_up:. I did loved the Liberty but had some issues with it, chief among them being that it leaked into the cargo area when it rained heavily and while it was still under warranty the clowns at the dealership could not fix it. I also did not like the fuel efficiency much and that became apparent when the price of gas down here hit around $3/gal. It took me a while to find something with which I could replace the Liberty and then came along the Pat. From the moment I laid eyes on it, I was hooked. When I saw the fuel economy, I fell in love. With the exception of being lower to the ground, it drives similarly to my liberty. I have test driven the Chevy Equinox, Ford Escape, and Saturn Vue. Liberty beat them all and now Patriot beats them too.

For a company that only makes SUVs the Patriot is a slam dunk in my opinion for Jeep. I think there will be more converts and not necessarily from within the Jeep family.

I will be getting the REC radio installed later this week and when It is all done, I will post pix. Just checking in for now.

I read through some of the forums here and really like what I saw so I decided to sign up. This is really a great resource.

I got a sport 4x2 2.4L with the following options:
Jeep Green Metallic - $150
YES Essentials Seating - $250
Tire and Wheel Group - $590
Power Equipment Group - $995
All Season Floor Mats - $30
Continuously Variable Auto Tranny - $1050
Deep Tint Sunscreen Glass - $350
A/C - $850
Full Size Spare - $120

Plus REC Radio to be added this week $850. Dealer to install free as part of deal. I will also be removing my factory installed nav from the liberty and sell on ebay. Will replace it with the original RBK radio. Since the dealer will not give even half of what it costs in the trade-in, I will recoup some of that cost by selling on ebay. If you were wondering how the REC radio is only costing me $850, that would be because I purchased on ebay as opposed to purchasing from Dealer. I did get a discount on my Pat. My final price was $18,549. I get supplier discount as I work for a company that is a Tier Supplier to Chrysler.
