Hi all I have a 2012 Jeep Patriot sport currently have the manual windows and locks. I want to try and change it out to electric windows and locks, question is, is this possible and does anyone have any insight into this?

I think it's possible, but you'd need the whole interior door panels for all 4 doors and the electric motors, etc. to make it work. The plugs behind the dashboard are probably already there.

But realistically it probably would have been alot cheaper and easier to just buy a Patriot with electric windows if you wanted them that bad. There's probably alot more out there. And I've never had a problem with my crank windows in mine. It's alot simpler, and one less thing to potentially go wrong. Don't even need to worry about turning a key to open/close my windows either.

Haha, can kinda understand the frustration, but I never really had a problem with it. Slightly annoying at times, but(as much as I don't like Fords) it's a bit of a throwback to a mid-90s F-250 single cab that my dad had when I was little, which had manual windows and locks. Plus, yet another thing that I don't have to worry about circuit boards with.

But, I admit I can understand the convenience for those who can't move all over the place as easily, or have families or other passengers alot, or just need the ease of a button for whatever reason when getting groceries every week. If nothing else, perhaps there's an aftermarket electric lock system out there.

About $30 in total, case of beer, and a few hours I had power locks :)......
Would it have been a few minutes if alcohol wasn't a factor? :p Couldn't resist.

In my experience, it all depends whether the beer is an incentive or a reward. Of course, your friends may be different...

It was both an incentive and reward - but it was hot out so was sweating it out as it was going in :beerchug:

This and most every kit like this is universal - it will work on most any and every car on the road.
