I always figured cars were girls and trucks were boys. Still beyond me why a battleship is a she. Then again, I've know a few girls that fit the image . . . I digress.

I've taken to naming my vehicles after cartoon characters, most recently, Ignatz, Rocky and Bullwinkle.
new jeep is named "jessie".

the story goes that my silver 2007 xterra, named "Nessie" which is a she, got together with my 2013 true blue patriot which is named "Jeep Jeep" which is a guy as he has a manual trans, and they had a silver jeep named "Jessie". (Jeep Jeep and Nessie combined). Oh and Jessie is she as she has the automatic like Nessie.

Be careful on how you handle that tranny shift stick.
The 6-speed automatics have an optional feature called autostick shift.
Its enabled by moving the stick to the side once the stick is in Drive.
Once enabled, the driver has to manually upshift or down shift to the next gear. I typically use that feature when off roading.

Just put it straight in Drive without any side movements of the stick once there and the transmission will automatically shift for you.
