I'd like to attach something to the roof infront of the dome lights on that bump in the liner. Is there a place to secure something or is the metal roof of the car behind it? Definitely don't want the screws popping through the roof.
What's behind the head liner?

There is a thin layer of insulation foam. Its similar to the spray foam that expannds, usually used around AC units. Obviously more durable for Veh. use, but prob. wont hold much weight. Im sure there may be metal cross bars, but you'd have to find them
Any way to find those without dropping the headliner?
A radio. Maybe a pound or two. My concern is I don't want to start screwing down the mounting bracket and then find the screw sticking through the roof.

I looked at the pics in that thread, but you can't see the front of the car behind the dome light.
