Has any one removed that middle seat belt that comes over the seat? It gets in the way when I fold down the seats. Can one get that plastic cover off by the seat to take it apart? I really don't want to cut anything. Thanks

Hold it..there is nothing to cut!!!!!

to disengage the mini latch from the mini buckle, for storage, so it won't get in your way when folding the seats etc, insert a REGULAR latch plate into the black button (slot) on top of the mini buckle. The belt will then automatically retract to its stored position.
If you have an owners manual (mine is for a 2008 Pat) the info with diagrams, is on page 45 and its picture #9..all is explained there...

I used my key to open it and release the buckle. The buckle stays but isn't in the way. I took mine out immediately and it's hanging in the rear. You should find a slot on one end and use your ignition key to release the belt. Hope this helps!

also in the cargo compartment on the pillar there is a place the seat belt snaps into after you release it. My seats fold down no problem with it buckled though. I just pull it off to the left side over the head rest and give it some slack and fold the seat down.

Oh, that's what that slot is for! Wait, there are two slots. I put the latch in the bottom slot which does look similar to the latch. But what's the 2nd slot for? I tried to put the 2nd piece in one of them, but it wouldn't fit either. The manual says to put the mini-latch into/out of the slot. Sometimes a guy just feels left out a bit.
