Had my patriot back for the 5th time for sunroof leak. I talked to their leak specialist. I explained to him where I saw water coming in. It was coming in all around the rubber seal on the sunroof. He asked if the water got on the seats or dash or anywhere else. I said not this time but the other 4 times it did. Well he said and I quote "Water is supposed to leak in." "The drainage system is there to catch any water coming in." Sunroofs on this model and the compass do not completely keep all water out. All auto companies do it different. Some have good tight seals and good drainage and some don't. I told him that this is unacceptable and had I known this I would not have bought one with a sunroof. Everyone that I know who has a car with a sunroof laughed at this and said it is crazy to spend all that money on a vehicle that is supposed to leak.

Man... never play with a mans integrated water fountain.
Mine leaks in the same spots. but only under high pressure car washes. but it never leaks inside the cabin, goes out the drain tubes like it was designed too...
I wonder if you can add a thin weather strip to the edge of the sunroof opening, it would make the seal a little tighter...
