Just in case anybody cares, my story:

Bought a used 1988 Wrangler in 1991 or so, modified it pretty heavily, 4" lift, 33" tires, rear locker, etc., etc. Height of offroading was the annual run in the Kiamichi mountains near Clayton, OK.

Got married, bought a house, had a kid, bought a 1997 Cherokee. Kept the Wrangler for a long time but finally let it go because I had no place to store it and few places to go offroad.

Drove Cherokee 238,000 miles, many of which were offroad, got stuck a few times.

Last week I cash for clunkered the Cherokee and got a Patriot - with any luck this Jeep will last me another 10 - 12 years ;)

That makes a total of almost 20 years of Jeep ownership!! Along the way I have become a competent mechanic by force ;)

Absolutely we care, and we care even more when our new friends post pics.

Great choice, enjoy the ride.

NICE work. I'm in the same boat. Jumped on the clunker program ASAP, getting married, 5th Jeep.... But my girlfriend said she'd leave ME if I got rid of my CJ.... That's why she's making the jump to wife status.

hahaha...wait a second, is she marrying you or the Jeep? LOL. doesn't matter i guess as long as you're the owner of the Jeep, so you should be good :smiley_thumbs_up:

LOL Thanks for the replies - she loved that Wrangler as much as I did we just didn't have any place to store it and I was unable to go wheel more then a couple times a year so I sold it to a good friend who still has it.

Yea its weird going from 238000 to 0 - I still feel like I'm driving a rental car. Wife says I'll feel different after I make my first payment lol
