Head unit recommendations?

I just purchased a 2016 Jeep Patriot Sport this last weekend and I'd like to get some recommendations on changing out the stock head unit. I currently have the 130s/RES with UConnect and I'd like to replace it with something better.

I keep seeing these cheap Android units, but none of them seem to have Sirius compatibility and I'd like to keep access to my free year of satellite radio. I'd also like compatibility with a bluetooth audio controller as my Jeep does not have the steering wheel controls.

Anyone have an recommendations that wont break the bank? I really don't want to spend upwards to $1,000 for something.

You can get this for $275 and is highly recommended, also dose Sirius XM radio, and has bluetooth ... all you need.

Hows the navigation on that? I heard the iGO system wasn't very robust. Also, when in navigation mode does it shut off music? This certainly is within my budget and worth taking a look at.

Excellent, I have had no complaints at all except for the fact that I should have updated it by installing the Canadian upgrade pack before I went to Canada the other week (only has the USA pre-loaded).

Music still plays during navigation mode and you can disable the navigator as well (or change to any language/accent).

I am assuming I'd have to purchase a Sirius/XM module right? Can't just use what's built into the Jeep right?

Just downloaded and read the manual. You do need to purchase an aftermarket Sirius Connect module.

I have maybe $125 into my install, I installed a tablet that allows me to run Pandora, Spotify and Sirius. My tablet has a $10 2GB data plan with tmoblie, only real issue I have is Sirius isn't covered with "binge on" free streaming like Spotify and Pandora but it works for me.

If $600 won't break the bank, why not look into a new OEM 430N (low speed can bus). I just bought a new one for my 2014. It is Uconnect, has a built in hard drive, Sirius, Nav, BT, streaming, etc. Plug and play (for my Pat because I have an antenna). There are lots of threads on the 430N and aftermarket HU. I am awaiting delivery. Cheers.

I'll second the 7020, I had on in my previous car (VW Jetta Diesel Its sitting in the garage now waiting for a buyback) and I will remove it and install in my new sport. it is Sirius (even with module I remember it being pretty inexpensive i bought it off of amazon), Nav (you can just stick the antenna under the dash some ware mine works fine without a view of the sky), Blue tooth (Pandora too) , Backup camera, DVD play. My only complaint is that the back up camera takes 3 or 4 seconds to come on when you shift into reverse, but the radio, satellite and nave are all good.

I would love to know more on how you did this. Any chance you have a write up, video or something along those lines?

I currently don't have a writeup, although I did record much of the process and im working on a video to explain what I did to make it work. Until then it's not all too complicated. Biggest parts were the soundstream EQ, Samsung tab 4 7'', and your Walmart special Sony Xplod Amp that you can kinda see in the passenger floor area. The hardest part was of course wiring. Specifically figuring out how to turn the display without use any buttons on the tablet. I'm actually still working with it right now which is why I haven't created a writeup yet. I have a 3 way OTG cable that also runs a backup camera and a 1TB usb stick that has saved music and videos for when I'm out of a cellular area. If you have any questions feel free to ask!
