Hello! new member here. planning on buying a 08 patriot limited. :)
I remember seeing one on ebay with 24"`s on it.
Does anyone know what the biggest wheels i can fit without modifications is?
ive seen several on cardomain etc on 20 and 22 so im guessing they fit without problems.

by my calcs - on my originals being 215/60 R17

gives a max diameter of approx 27"

so you can do your own calcs as to what will fit

if you assume 215 width then you'll need approx 215/19 R24

if you go to 245 width then you'll need approx 245/16 R24

both of which will look absolutely ridiculous ... in my opinion ... flame on ... :wow:

hmm.
will probably go for 255/30/22 then.. damnit i really wanted 24`s :p
Seen a couple on the net with 22" so i guess they fit. would be nice to know tough, before i order wheels from the us of a alle the way to Norway. :p

that'll be 255/25 - if you want your speedo to work right...

are you sure 255's will fit without rubbing? i don't know the technical name, but you'll have to check where the centre of the wheel is, horizontally....

I think with the right backspacing, you can push 27.5 high x 11.5 wide.

I'm not running 22s, i'm running 16d x 8w 5mm bs, but think i'm at the cap with my - 295/50/16 which calculates to 27.6 h x 11.6 wide.

No rubbing at all.

I think once you get too much taller than the stock 27.25 that width room starts to shrink really fast.

But don't trust this or anything that anybody says unless you are going to use the exact tire/rim combo. YOU NEED TO DO YOUR OWN FIT TEST BEFORE YOUR COMMIT TO BUYING.

Yeah you have a good point, and id really like to test the wheels etc first, the problem is i have to order them from the states (i live in Norway)
and nobody here almost sells wheels that big. and if they do they cost atleast 4-5times the us price. :(
Stock tires is 27.2" according to the norwegian importer(215/60/17). and 255/30/22 is 28" (and they sell the wheels with 235,245width also)

... here's what I run for reference.

20" x 8" rims with a 32mm offset.
Tires are 245-45-20 with no rubbing issues

that looks freakin' awesome, been thinking 18's or 19's, but really like the look of 16's with lots meaty rubber...

Thanks. I guess it's a preference thing. I got these for $100 a piece no tax no shipping from JEGS - i think more expensive now. They ride great with all that air and rubber. I've seen some post on here of people fitting 22s.. I gotta wonder about the ride though. Not entirely crazy about the look either - looks a bit pimped out - but to each his own.
