Hello, and Just orderd mine

Hi everybody,

I have been a "guest", reading the threads, for quite some time and enjoy the discussion and information provided, very professional. I thought that I might as well jump in the discussions.

I have ordered my 2WD limited 5 sp on April 21, expecting delivery by Mid to late June, but a couple weeks ago I was contacted by the dealer, they looked at the inventory and no luck, it won’t be available, so it will be a 2008 by late Aug (hopefully).

Sorry to hear you got bumped to 2008 but hope you get it as fast as possible....

Yea it would seem talking to a couple people here that dealership allotment has more to due with getting bumped than build/supply issues.....

Probably getting worse too...

April orders may be arriving now, but it's gonna get worse in a big hurry. My order was placed the first week in June and I was originally told mid-late August. Now I have been told more likely September and it may get pushed back even farther.

According to my dealer, the issue is the change in the model year. The Ill plant will be closed for re-tooling for most of July. After that, Chrysler's first priority will be to produce the dealer alotments so they can get them out and get mind share. That will include the Caliber, Compass (although I don't know why) and of course, the Patriot. That could be up to another month of production before they get back to the customer orders backlog. Estimates are the backlog (definitely not official) is at least 3 weeks each on the Patriot and Caliber. I would certainly expect that number to grow. It looks like it's going to be a long wait for any orders submitted May through August.

Like I've mentioned I ordered in April and got bump. I can't wait anymore. I sold my car with the intentions of thinking I was going to get mine in 8-12 weeks. I sold my car to fast...........sigh!!! The wait has been a pain so far. I was hoping to have it for summer, then when told it got bumped I'm like okay I can enjoy the last have of summer. Oh we'll see. Wait and see what happens. I haven't talked to my dealer in hmmmm 3 weeks I think. I'm going to wait until after the 4th of July and see what they have to say about questions I have to ask.

Elkco NV now.....

The Dealer Tracker has slipped 1 day so arrive thurs not wed dealer is in a fit to try and getit to me by the end of month...lol I love when they are motivated....... Wish I provided that motivation and not end of month numbers but hey what ever works....

Congrats...It is on its way home...I didnt track mine after it was shipped...I got the call from the dealer last friday saying it arrived thursday night ...left saturday morning at 4am picked it up saturday afternoon ...got home saturday night...6 hour drive...and such a fun drive home too....

Have patience Freezal, when your Pat arrives you go through this weird state of disbelief, when I received mine I truly could not believe the wait was over.
You will try to pinch yourself while you are starting at your Jeep stitting in your driveway.
Just remember to take a camera with you the day you pick it up and hope it does not rain...

What frustrates me most is that my dealer was told by the rail yard that the ETA was Saturday June 23rd, he too is keeping in daily contact with me. The car is sitting in a rail yard in Jersey and it's just a matter of them putting it on a truck to deliver. Today is shot so if it does arrive tommm. than I will get it Friday. If not Friday afternoon to Saturday morning. If that does not happen I will be annoyed because I am going on vacation Sunday morning and want to bring the Jeep. I will also be entering the 12th week at that time.

dealer called he pushed them to load it on the truck today as it hit the rail yard this morning. I am working with the internet fleet sales and he seems to have some magic going because instead of sitting 9 days at the rail yard like the schedule said I may have my pat tonight. if not the for sure tomorrow.....

Heres hoping.
Edit: going to pick it up at 5pm tonight....... wwwooooooooohhhhooooooo
