Just recently got a second Patriot to scoot around in. I own a 2012 Rescue Green 4x4 FDI I purchased about 7 months ago. I've enjoyed it although I was a bit disapointed in the winter traction. Still working on that, I believe it's the struts.
Anyway, my company vehicle was due to be traded and they allow us to choose what we would like to drive within a budget. SO... My new ride is a 2016 Patriot sport with FDII. Not only did I get the ride I wanted, I saved them a butt load of money on the budget. Got to try out the FDII this week plowing through slushy fairly deep snow on a snowmobile trail while hunting for a timber sale. I was impressed!

Earthworm, I have come to this conclusion by a process of elimination as I've checked everything else and when pushing the plastic boot back there is a little oil showing on the top.
When changing lanes the back would be very twitchy, rather unnerving. I would notice it a little bit on dry roads also. After getting the 2016 it is very noticeable how taut the suspension is and no twitching. So I thinking the struts.

That's sweet!!!!! I love Rescue Green sooooo much. I only found one that had the FDII and it was at a place I couldn't get it so I got my True Blue FDII. My boss has a 2013 Compass Latitude FDI. It's cool when they let you get what you want within reason.
