It's really easy to complain about what we don't like... but the good obviously beats the bad!!

It's total ruggedness - I tried for the first weeks to keep it clean, but then I realized... It's a jeep!!! looks better covered in mud!!!

The gas mileage - I'm getting around 26 mpg... that's awesome for how I drive!

Size - not too big, not too small.

I LOVE MY PATRIOT!

Good idea for a thread!

For my FDII Sport:
- Smooth tranny
- Plenty enough power
- Good Economy (23 MPG avg) for its capability
- Well controlled ride & great rear seat space
- Love the fold flat seat
- Good brake feel & I like the rear discs
- Good control Ergos
- Great looks - great character!

Bottom line - it's delivering on it's promises!

Great thread! Let's more from the folks who love their Patriots. I am getting closer to that deal, and once it's done, I will be ordering mine. Can't wait!

Yes this was a good idea.. Humm.
Confortable interior, very nice base stero , handy aux jack for my starmate 4 sirius radio, cold A/C
Its not a common vehicle yet. stands out in a crowd!
Great steering feel, very good turning radius.. great for those U bees
last thing.. it looks like a Jeep !!!

It does everything my old Cherokee did except drink gas plus rides like a car.

Well... having just returned from a week long family retreat with our church, I can say that the more I use and drive my Patriot the more I love it.

It was approx. 800 miles roundtrip... mostly all highway (except for the last 20 miles going up to the Lake Arrowhead area). The road manners of the Patriot are outstanding and rival passenger cars. I really appreciated the CVT as we were cruising at 80+ mph for long stretches... and the tach was only at 2500 rpms. The interior was surprisingly quiet. Mileage was about 25mpg... which is not bad considering the load and speed we were going.

We had 4 passengers total. The seating was comfortable and supportive...even for the 7 hour (one-way) drive. The amount of cargo we were able to fit in the back was just insane! 3 rollaboard suitecases, a garment bag, 2 acoustic guitars, 3 laptop computers, 2 pillows, 2 beach towels, a plastic milk crate filled with class material, and a 24" x 18" x 12" box full of craft/activity supplies (removed from the box and placed wherever there were gaps). All of this fit in the rear cargo area. Granted, it was totally floor to ceiling and completely blocking the rear window. But man-o-man, this thing can haul stuff! :D

oops...didn't mean to submit that response so quickly:

love the smoothness of the manual tranny and love the placement of the shifter even more.

The stereo and aux jack are great.

The hauling capacity is very impressive - helped a buddy move some stuff out of his apartment yesterday and was pleasantly surprised to fit as much as we did each trip!

Everything...but if I had to pick one thing....its the 5speed ...
Husband loves all the goodies he got with it...gps,stereo
kids love the dual rear dvd

4WD and a lot of room in a small, efficient package.
Sirius Radio
The hard plastic floor cover in the back. Easier to live with than more traditional carpet.
The iPod holder
The cool, little flashlight in the rear dome light
The radio controls on the back of the steering wheel
The fact it rides so smooth and handles so well for a SUV.
The dead pedal. I got bad knees, its makes things so much more comfortable!
The cool, traditional Jeep styling

The stock head lights are great. Here in Wyoming at night you have to run the gauntlet of critters large and small. It helps to be able to have a bright clear area down the highway.
