I have a Sony Action Cam and use their adhesive mount.
It's a great mount, glues like cement, I've driven 80mph with the camera mounted and has never fallen.
I wouldn't know how to remove the mount if I wanted to, it's permanently up there for now as I will continue to use it.
I would say I've driven around 3k miles with the camera on top, both on the HWY and off road.
The yellow piece below screws on to the camera, then clicks onto the mount.
The pic below shows a flat mount (which I use) and a concave mount for helmets.
