I The kids and my husband did this on the way home the screen is much bigger than the dvd' players you can put in the cars and the sound I put through our speakers. Worked out perfect.
Hey AmyK528,

How did you play the laptop sound through your speaker system? I am getting ready for a road trip to Texas, and the kiddos would love that...does anyone have ideas?

helo75, you can plug your laptop to the audio input jack on the front radio (marked "AUX"). You can use a standard 3.5mm stereo cable to do that. Just make sure both ends are compatible (my laptop only has 1 audio output, the headphones). Your radio also has to be changed to AUX mode.

Enjoy the road trip!

Well I have yet to try to use the buffer, however my daughter and I did just travel across Germany and back the other day. Obviously since she is 7 years old the countryside wasn't on her priority list to see so she watched dvd's on her portable player the whole way. I also had a 12 volt cooler fridge plugged in to keep our sodas chilled, with the AC on and had no issues at all. Be it electrical or power.

This truck really kicks ass for no more than I paid for it. I mean it beats my 2002 Durango SLT Plus a $28,000 truck (at time of purchase new) hands down, no ifs ands or buts about it.

We have the i-pod kit and it comes with a aux. I used a cable i had that worked for it and it worked perfect. Where in texas are you going? Were from Houston.
AmyK528 & jloowi,

Thanks for the feedback. Unfortunately, My Pat doesn’t have the aux jack---I have the 6 disk—about the only option I have that I DID NOT WANT. But given that it was the 1st Pat shipped ‘round here and it had justa about everything else I wanted….

Does anyone else have any ideas on how to play a movie’s sound in you car audio if you don’t have the aux jack?

Oh, yea---I am a transplanted Texan... living Michigan? We’ll be heading home to that lovely cradle of “Texas Liberty” and home to the 2007 NBA World Champs:notworthy:…San Antonio!!

We have those all over our house. Our house was built in 61 and all our outlets are two prong. I keep one in my patriots glove box.
That third prong is (primarily) a safety ground. To defeat the safety ground is to create a hazard to appliance users and especially to children.

For safety, the ground (grounding conductor) must provide a current path back to the the neutral-ground bond at the main service panel.
