I have a 2008 Jeep Patriot 105000miles and its showing the code p2004 and is misfiring now. I just replaced the intake manifold runner when told what the code was. Also this is my first car. Any help would be much appreciated.

Back again I just sea foamed it and still have that code but now it has p2004 cnd and p2004 pnd.they say the exact same thing about having the intake manifold runner stuck open. Still misfiring one cylinder from the sound of it and can't go over 20 mile an hour

Engine is misfiring, you say? Why not rule out one common problem--spark plugs. Cost a whole $10 at Autozone, and takes about 20 minutes from start to finish--and there's a couple of wonderful write-ups, such as this: http://www.jeeppatriot.com/forum/showthread.php?t=36996&highlight=spark+plugs that will help you.
