E-mailed my dealer to see if they have any news, haven't heard back. Wondering if i should just pick a LTD with FDI & CVT2 that's still available from a few dealers out here? Comments??

well, since your vehicle is in the middle of production i don't think they will just stop. i'm pretty sure when they say they are shutting down the plants that they will be finishing any "work in progress" and not starting any new production.

that seems logical to me

Thanks for the encouragement, CNN reported they will close all factories as of Monday, & other source indicate that parts vendors stopped shipping parts, as they will need to renegotiate their deals. I am not holding my breath as i m planning my next step. Been checking local dealers inventory to see what's available in their lots. But same as before very few Ltd, some indicated they have the Rocky Mountain Edition, but until i physically see the unit, i have my doubts that it is actually in their inventory. Lots of thinking to do.

DON'T PICK... haggle away as I mentioned in the other thread (http://www.jeeppatriot.com/forum/showthread.php?t=17049). If that doesn't work, then pick. Don't give up and try to use this as an opportunity in your favor.

Just finished talking to the Chrysler Service Manager in Chrysler Canada, they did a search VON & according to her, my RIOT has been built!!! April 27th was the date they finished, thus there is a good chance that it is lining up to be shipped. But i will withhold any celebration until I get confirmation from my dealer. But it is still good news that my Riot is off the assembly line.

Contacted & confirmed by the dealer:

"Your vehicle status has been updated to “KZL” which means the vehicle is physically built and been inspected and is waiting for a rail car number for shipping. With all that’s going on right now we have been told that anything in “KZ” status will be getting to the dealers in the weeks to come, it’s the other vehicle’s that are still inside the factory that will be delayed.
This is good news for you."

The ETA date is May 12th, but could be 7-10 days. Out of Belvidere Plant to Logistic Park, Chicago, 4/30/09, On Railcar 05/01/09, arrive at Kent, WA 05/09/09, unload to Orillia, WA same date, truck up to Vancouver dealer by 05/12/09.

I am waiting for the dealer to confirmed that it is on railcar by end of today or early Monday. Then the countdown begins!

Latest update from dealer, the Jeep has arrived at Orillia Wa 05/08/09.
It will be put on truck to ship north to Vancouver, BC. Shipping Manifest delivery date to dealer is 05/12/09. Could be tomorrow or later this week.

Ahhhhh.... nice to hear that ploc! Really glad your vehicle did not get "stuck" in the shut down. I bet you are anxious to get in it and play!

You bet; start looking since Feb/09, went through a lot of research & search. Eventually went with factory order & now only days away.

THAT IS AWESOME!!! Congrats ploc!!! i am extremely envious of you...i wish i could get a Patriot but financially it's better to keep saving and wait until i become a GS-12 so i don't have to dip into my savings to buy it...i hate waiting! :doh:

anyways, so which blue is that? that is a really nice color. is it the deep blue one? it looks too dark for the surf blue. i think it's a really nice blue and makes me second guess my intention to go with a black one. hmm...well that's a few years off and by then the Patriot will be gone or a new model will take its place (hopefully not the Panda though! :doh

that is one hell of a nice vehicle ploc...so when will the videos be rolling in? you should go onto Google Picasa and create an account, then create an album and just load it up!!!

Comment: what is up with the hood? is it not closed all of the way? i hope you closed it properly...it wouldn't be good to be sitting like that open in the elements...if it rained hard and such
