Hi all,
Had my Patriot for a short while now, an 07 CRD Limited.
Absolutely great for us and the dog, we're big outdoors people and it fits better as an everyday car than our old Shogun.
Needs a new fuel filter I think as there's a stutter on acceleration. And one arch has started to rust whereas all the others are fine. I'm pretty sure that the arch is an accident repair and that's why it's rusting, but it's being sorted next month regardless.
So far I've done 6000 miles in total comfort. The interior is great when you have a dog - wipe clean with no fuss. It handles well for a Jeep and I average 43mpg.
What else..? Oh - the clock is mental. This morning it showed 0763 which is clearly wrong. It takes its time from the RDS signal and is right for 80% of the time and off the wall for the remaining 20%.
Aside from that...brilliant. I'm enjoying owning it. I'm baulking at the price of original Jeep accessories such as bike carriers and roof boxes, but that's the same for any brand really.
I've always been an active member of forums for cars that I've owned so hope to be around here for a while and both help and learn where I can. My current other drive is a tuned Jap import RX-8 - obviously not as practical as the Jeep but built for a different purpose.
This seems like a friendly place to be. In particular, give me a shout if you're in the UK
