From the other Renegade Thread

Renegade = $21085 Base Model (4x2) (4x4) = $26645

Compass = $17960 (4x2) $21418 (4x4)

Patriot =$15800 (4x2) $19258(4x4)

Cherokee = $25300 (4x2) $26302 (4x4)

CDN pricing, notice the 4x4 Renegade and 4x4 Cherokee..............Cherokee is actually cheaper and has far more standard equipment, for less money. Yes FWD there is a difference, but only on that trim level.
Canadian pricing and US pricing are very different then. US pricing( base MSRP )for Sport models( not listing Compass as it is not in the title of the thread )...

Patriot = $16,895(FWD) & $18,995(4WD)
Renegade = $17,995(FWD) & $19,995(4WD)
Cherokee = $23,095(FWD) & $25,095(4WD)

I also see some errors in the Canadian pricing shown. At least when I go and look using your location on the Jeep Canada site( which absolutely SUCKS btw )these are the base MSRP's shown for Sport models...

Patriot = $18,495(FWD) & $22,295(4WD)
Renegade = $19,995(FWD) & $25,995(4WD)
Cherokee = $24,495(FWD) & $26,695(4WD)

What I see matches up with what I see in the US with one exception. The Patriot is the cheapest, then the Renegade, then the Cherokee. For some reason there is a HUGE jump in base MSRP for a 4WD Sport Renegade though which does take it closer to the Cherokee. I can't understand why that is either because the FWD model does not have this same price increase vs US pricing? Maybe it is because they think 4WD's will be popular in Canada( I agree )and that being a new vehicle they are trying to cash in on the initial sales surge by raising the price up. Or, maybe they have added more standard equipment to a 4WD Renegade in Canada for some reason? Could also be a typo or something too. Makes no sense that the one model is priced so differently.

Reminder. These are base MSRP values for Sport models. Does not take into account destination fees, rebates, etc... nor does it take into account trim levels above Sport nor adding options. Just base Sports with no additional add ons.

All prices that I had posted, included destination included. The prices also included my fleet discount through work and any applicable rebates going on at the time.

As for US VS Canada pricing, someone explain why I can buy the exact Grand Cherokee in the US for $14000 less than what I can in Canada............Either way in Canada the Renegade is priced terrible. the 2WD models as far as i'm concerned don't exist =)

I"m partial to the Cherokee because I pretty much want one, My Wife's Active Drive II limited has been a great vehicle after almost 2 years.

Definitely agree with you. Though, the Cherokee HAS grown on me a bit... just not to the point where I would ever own one. :D
If you test drive one (Cherokee), they are hard to pass up. The Cherokee has a wonderful interior with some of the best seats I have ever sat in. They are quite capable off road if equipped properly. No one, not even FCA, would have guessed the Cherokee would be Jeep's best selling vehicle so far this year :wow:

I don't think that it is any more complicated than...marketing. It seems like their intention was to be able to have a "deceptively" low price for advertising purposes. That's gonna catch some eyes. Then once they're interested, they'll soon find out that to get one that is nicely equipped, it will cost significantly more.

I discovered that when I first priced out a Renegade. I don't have the specific options at hand, but a well equipped 4WD Renegade had an MSRP that was $2K more than a comparably equipped Patriot. :confused:
