Dan,
Now that you are here, don't leave so soon. You seem to have some answers, and we have a lot of questions. Mine, primarily, is how capable is the Patriot, and when will we see a demonstration via pictures or video? As a person working in marketing, can you give us some insight as to why Jeep seems to be avoiding the topic, when Land Rover has released videos nearly 2 months ago that show the LR2 in off-road action?
Aside from Camp Jeep, we rarely film any sort of hard-core off-roading videos featuring our new vehicles.
It is the belief that such demonstration is best handled by the enthusiasts simply filming what they love to do. I am sure that if you were to preform a quick google video search for "2007 Wrangler" you might come across a few videos by real individuals showing off just what their jeep can do.
IMO This provides a much better testiment of realistic capability then a sponsored and controlled photoshoot. We just try to buld a vehicle everyone can enjoy while providing a solid platform for those who choose to take their Jeep to the next level.

Dan,
We all know that Jeep is going balls to the wall with intro of the Compass and the JK. However, there are a lot of folks who are extremely interested in the Patriot, and would appreciate DCX throwing us a bone once in awhile. How about some factual data on capability and production??
Thanks!
Unfortunately at this time there is no additional information is available on the Patriot. Further information may be available closer to vehicle release (Q1 2007). Once marketing receives the go ahead to provide this information it will be released to the appropriate channels.
Available specifications can be found here:

Unfortunately, the details regarding the manufacturing process are not provided to marketing. I wouldn’t be able to provide you any information regarding what happens within the manufacturing facilities. Typically information of that nature is sealed beneath NDA's unless previously ok’d by DaimlerChrysler.
Tough Questions guys.
Sorry I couldnt be more helpfull but I can only work with what they give me.
