Is there an easy way to remove the "soft tonneau cover" in the back area. It is in my way more than anything else and I really don't want it, and it is being hard not soft. All I can think of is to take a hammer to it . :)

The 09 manual doesn't like anything about removing the cargo cover - at least not that I found. I was curious when I first got my 09 so I played around and figured it out.

This is all that is mentioned in the 09 manual about it..

Cargo Cover — If Equipped
The cargo area trim panels include two notches for
mounting the available tonneau cover that accommodates
the reclining rear seat.

WARNING!
In an accident a cargo cover loose in the vehicle could
cause injury. It could fly around in a sudden stop and
strike someone in the vehicle. Do not store the cargo
cover on the cargo floor or in the passenger compartment.
Remove the cover from the vehicle when taken
from its mounting. Do not store in the vehicle.

Many apologies!! So in The USA its not a standard fitting?? So when you do get one ( Top price at dealers or second hand on Ebay) Chrysler dont tell you how to fit it or remove it???Very strange!!

It's part of the option package so not everyone gets it. Typically when you buy accessories like this, it comes with instructions. I have no idea what this cargo cover comes when when purchased separately.

Sometimes I think they leave it up to people to figure out (common sense?) as they must think it's obvious how it is supposed to work.

Mine came in clear wrapper with no instructions.

I think a few members were looking to buy one if you want to sell yours.
