Hi

I am looking at trading my 2009 Ford Escape for a 2015 Patriot High altitude. I will be needing some winter tires and rims for this and only just got some for the escape they are 235 70 16, does anyone know if these tires and rims will fit on the jeep? also they have tire pressure sensors in them, from what I have found online both vehicles use 315mhz sensors will these work as well?

Thanks for your help

Phil

Good morning, if the lug pattern on the escape is 5x4.5 then yes your escape wheels should fit but you may get vibration as the ford wheel may not be the same hub size as the patriot. Also, the 235/70 is wider and taller than the stock 205/70 tire that comes on the patriot. So depending on your escape wheels backspacing, you may need wheel spacers as well to clear the springs. You may also need to trim/hammer back to pinch weld in the front to avoid rubbing.

If I'm not mistaken, doesn't ford use the "strap" style sensor monitors in the wheels? The ones in the patriot are the "valve stem" type.

I've seen others say the 235/70 r16 would be very tight and if the the pattern is the same as the Ford pickups it is 5x5 so you would need an adapter. I use wrangler rims so I needed this adapter as well
