Have some errands to run when I wrap up work but thing I'm gonna pull the Chief in the garage and drop the gas tank to see what's going on tonight.

My neighbor let me borrow a motorcycle jack which should help tremendously in safely dropping the now full 20 gal gas tank.

Hope it's something quick & easy... wish a brutha luck! ;)

Gas tank leak repaired! Ends up I messed up seating the fuel pump gasket when I put it in the first time. Just topped it off and the Chief looks to be leak free!

Decided to let the Chief flex a lil on the wheeling rock in my side yard in celebration. This is the first time I've tried it on the 33s & front sway bar is connected in these shots (forgive the weeds, I haven't weeded in a while):

LOL. Lets see some videos of you two wheeling!
Uh dude, we drive Jeeps...

The probability of both of our Jeeps being trail ready at the same time is exponentially low. ;)

For real though: Yesterday I had the oil, power steering fluid, coolant, and brake fluid all flushed on the Chief. Bought new spark plugs and the couple small parts I wanted for my exhaust.

Once I swap in the new plugs, install the turn down, and rig the exhaust so it doesn't drag on the drive shaft under extreme flex (which shouldn't take long) the Chief will be ready to go to AZ Differential for the 4.56 gears, sleeve/gusset front axle, chromoly shafts, and install the new rear diff cover and HD ball joints.

Shouldn't be very long, maybe a couple weeks before prime time!

I know, I know...but I have to have somebody to live vicariously through while the snow is above the roof of most cars...

This is probably the truest statement you have ever said in your entire life. And I don't just drive a jeep, I drive a 26 year old jeep that was poorly maintained wtih a lot of half assed modifications...

Yeah, it's one of those jokes that's just kind of the truth.

I'm seriously looking to wrap up work/mods on the Chief when I get it back from the gear shop.

Just want to do more wheeling and less wrenching. :D
No wheeling for me until the school year is over. I cannot afford to break anything before we don't need two cars.

Got my exhaust rigged up with another hanger so it won't hit the drive shaft in off camber situations anymore.

Stuck a turndown on it so it's not just dumping straight back under the cabin. Sounds a little deeper now too.

Thanks!

I actually forgot to mention in the description that it also has a 3" high flow cat in the midpipe too. While I wanted some V8 rumble, it was important for me to keep the DB levels down since one of the Chief's main purposes is a hunting rig.

Oh and also clearance was paramount. When I had the exhaust installed originally I had the guy tuck & weld everything up as high as he could get it. While the original Kolak tailpipe looked & sounded cool it ended up not fairing so when the Chief hit the rocks (see below), hence the turn down moving forward.
