so i'm hooking up a 1100w amp and 1000w 10" pioneer sub to stock head unit
i ran all wires connected everything and nothing happened amp had no power
where should i hook up the remote to, i heard u can hook it up to the radio fuse but im not really system saavy so i don't need help and want to save some money

Let me see if I understand... everything but the remote turn on lead is connected. Correct?

If so, you can run your own power lead (16 awg) preferably straight off the battery with an in-line fuse (30 amps or larger) to a toggle switch of your liking (125V AC is fine) non-illuminated is easier. Then from the switch straight to your remote terminal on your amp.

You can test this method prior to running all wiring throughout fender and the interior. If you have an aftermarket stereo/receiver, then just wire it into the receiver's turn on lead.

i have it connected to my radio fuse in the fuse box,
but when i turn the pat on amp doesnt turn on it's connected to my battery
the only cable that is not connected is the ground for the amp i need to by a clamp to connect to a bolt i'm am rookie so don't really know what to do to get it working

Okay, the ground is vital. Go to your nearest walmart, look at what comes in the amplifier install kit. With the amount of money that you spent on your amp and subwoofer(s), do you really want to fry your amp by cutting corners? Shell out $60 for a nice Scosche install kit. Or, if you still want to save money, you can just purchase a 12" lawnmower battery cable from the automotive section for like $5.00, cut the battery terminal end and secure that to your negative terminak on the amp, then with the crimped end that has hole in it, secure that to one of the seat mounting bolts, and tighten it down without overtightening. Use lockwashers if you have them. And for best results, ensure that you are running a separate power wiring (preferably 4 gauge to 8 gauge) wire from your battery to the positive terminal of your amp. And remember read the instructions that came with your gear. Also a good mechanical connection is also a good electrical connection. Good luck!

hey man thanks alot yeah i went outside and connected the ground and everything is working as it should it's always the simple things i over look that get me into trouble
now its just fine tunning the amp to get the sub to sound just right
thanks again for the advice

Here is your solution... for now.

should the remote work the way i have it hooked up to the fuse for the radio, or should i find another place to hook it up, and does the amp light stay on all the time even with the jeep shut off?
It sounds to me that you are spliced into a line that is always "live". Your amp has no way of shutting off now. If you purchase a $2 toggle switch from Radio Shack or Walmart and splice it into the line that you are currently using, then you can manually switch your amp off. Here is a really crude diagram I made for you. I am not an artist.
