Wrangler convert

So I traded in my Wrangler

() for an 07 riot this weekend. So far I LOVE it :banana:

I've been thinking/looking for a couple of months now since my soft top wrangler was broken into, for the second time in a year, a couple of months ago. I credit/blame this site for helping me settle on the patriot. I ended up with a sport with power everything and manual 4x4 and the BA sound.

Things I want to do:
Already bought cruise (hasn't shipped yet)
Will be putting a lift on it and new shoes
pulling out REF radio and putting in carputer (I am after all a computer geek)
putting the JL speakers and subs from my wrangler in the riot
potentially want to put swing away tire carrier on back
adding heating elements to the seats.

Where are you going to find one? If you have and idea - or even better, a ready product - do let us know! I think quite a few folks would be interested in that.

I'd seen one on jeepforum(dot)com for sale, for an old XJ. Not sure if it would work, since the bumper is plastic and haven't looked yet where a good mounting point would be.

As for the mods, my ex-wife always said I needed projects. :smiley_thumbs_up: Oddly enough I was already daydreaming about them before I'd even bought my truck...

The cruise is on its way this week. I'm holding off on the radio and speakers (the BA is nice enough to get me through) until I decide if a carputer is the way to go. If I can get something for a spare holder on the back I'm going to put two subs in the hide-a-way in back, otherwise I'll pull out the BA sub and build something into that space.
