I've got gloves, tow rope, jumper cables, and the all important towel.
You never know what kind of spills will happen inside the Jeep with kids. :)

air compressor (12V)
come-along (2000 lbs)
tire chains (2)
50 feet rope
2"X8"X10" piece of wood
tire plugs
wheel lock lug
12' tow strap
factory 17" SR-A spare, jack and wrench
one metal wheel stop

All the above is stuffed into the spare tire well

My small folding shovel has to go in the side cubby, as do the flares now that I've added the piece of wood.

The high lift jack only goes in the trunk when going into the mountains logging roads.

The big shovel goes in the trunk for deep snow days.

Wow, even I'm impressed!

New cubby cover

I know this isn't about the tire area, but I didn't want to start a new thread.
I made this cover for my rear cubby out of aluminum and covered it wit black vinyl. I keep ropes and strap binders in there which were always falling out.

It is just sitting there now. I'm going to add a little handle and a magnet on the back to keep it in place. I'm planning to make a little knob that looks like the door lock pulls, but about twice the diameter. I'll use one here and one on the cover I made for my dash shelf.

I was pleasantly surprised at all the space around the spare tire under that plastic floor hatch. .
Timely Post. Totally. I've had my Pat for over 3 months and only last week did I realize all the space that's under there.

- jumper cables
- small tool box case (made of fabric)
- survival kit (compass, solar battery charger, flare gun, lighter, mini upright gas stove and pan, hunting knife)
- fishing yoyo and fake bait.
- first aid kit (had it in the house and figured more valuable the Jeep)
- change of cloths with sneakers

Its completely freed up the cargo area and allows me to carry (nicely hidden away) all that stuff that I usually regret not having with me.

I have only a temporary spare tire so there`s even more room there than with the full size. I have a refflective vest and triangle, first aid kit, jump cables, towing rope, small electric air pump, some tools, gloves, old blanket, few rags, spare bulbs and fuses, baby wipes :)
