Ive been trying to figure out when they made a change on the patriots, some of them have patriot on the back bumper and some do not, what years did this occur?

A lot of people choose to debadge their vehicles. This name on bumper thing probably is better off than on. Gives the owner less to deal with.

It came from the factory like that, but an aftermarket bumper for 2007-2010 likely won't have the lettering.
