What annoys me the most is Orange County (CA) drivers.

Oh....as far as the Pat goes....I don't get any air through the vents unless I have the fan on.

Ok, we all love our Patriots that much is clear, but there are always some things that annoy us. Vent your feelings here. Someone just might have the solution for what irks you… Waiting for your Patriot doesn't really count ;)

Second. That cubby hole; The one below the radio. I wish it had a rubber liner on the bottom so that my cell phone would stay put. Anyone have any suggestions? Does anyone make an accessory for this type of thing?
They make a waffle looking material (look at Walmart in the kitchen drawer lining section/contact paper) kinda rubbery that works perfectly for that kind of thing. You can even lay a piece on your dash and it will hold things.

You do not glue it down, just lay it in the cubby.

My dealer says no!

If you have a Sport then it requires the dealer to hook up the StarScan computer thingy to program it to off. I had mine silenced by my Chrysler dealer within days of experiencing that HONK! I believe Limited owners can program it off with the EVIC?
My dealer has told me twice that they can't turn off the loud horn chirp when you lock the doors with the remote. Jeep says right in the manual that owners can turn off the chirp, but the procedure they list doesn't work. Seems like they would care enough about owners to make the car operate the way it is advertised, but no such luck.

-The loud CVT that keeps on revving the engine at highway speeds.
-Having to stop every 260 miles on the highway to fill up when driving cross country.
-That gas tank is way too small!
-Lack of raw power when overtaking unless you use auto stick!

Every dark night is followed by a bright sunny day. So, patience and attention is required and things will be fruitful in near future Cubby under radio - Would be good ipod holder, but the ipod becomes a projectile when you stop or go! Should be easily fixable with grip pad.
Factory tow hitch requires cutting of rear bumper cover. No Way!
After hearing of how long the antena is, I may have to replace it with a short, black flexible version.

The horn is humiliating and the sliding armrest gets on Jamie's nerves... but I still give our Riot an A+ :D
I am toying with the idea of sliding the rest forward, making some sort of a rectangular hole just rear of the forward rest, make some sort of a stop and that way insure it does not slide backwards while in use. Take the stop out to move backwards again so you can access the lower storage bin.

I had a cover made from the same furry material as my seat covers for the arm rest. It`s a tight fit and prevents the rest to slide unwantedly. Also it makes the arm rest soft and warm to the touch.

What`s all those complaints about the Pats horn sound? Mine is a sharp double tone, quite nice and representative :)

Pretty sure this one been on before. Gas tank is way too small, need another
5 more Gallons!!!

Things that annoy me.. hmm. The seats are uncomfortable on long drives, the power sucks, I dont care for the auto stick, alot of cheap feeling plastic in it, the brakes are not all that great, and the fact that 10 months ago I bought this Jeep and payed $15,000 and now its only worth $10,000 in the kbb. So, I guess by the time I pay it down some so I can trade it in it will not be worth much at all. I have already tryed to trade it off for a 05 Mustang and they said I HAD to have at least $5,000 down to do it. So I guess that dealer really stuck it in a broke it off when I bought this thing... SO.. I am just trying to make the best of it and buy **** for it so I will like it more.

Oh also.. the fact that everytime I know see's it they always say the same thing.. "What made you get that?" lol.. I am so tired of hearing that.. never ANY compliments.

One more thing.. they put that anti theft thing under the dash before I bought it so sometimes for no reason at all it just will not start.. but I mess with that key thing that is stuck in the box then it will start.

Yep I know I have the diesel with the 6 speeder---But , nomatter how hard I try , I just cant find anything wrong!!! Oh yea as someone mentioned , a slightly bigger tank might be a good idea.

I want bumpers that have rubberized push bumpers on them. I can't nudge anything without ruining my license plate frame.

Wife won't take my Xscape to work, but maybe that's not so bad, it does get alot of miles on it and does get better MPGs due to the gearbox. Xscape just isn't sexy though, and it drives like a sofa on wheels.
The only thing I don't like about the Riot is we couldn't find a 4x down here to save our lives.

Haha what exactly would you be nudging? traffic? :p

I agree with the wimpy horn and I too have been asked by a few people "what made you get that?".

Other things are the passenger seat tracking squeaks constantly when someone is in it. This is acutally one of the Technical Service Bulletins though and its easy to fix just havn't got around to it.

And when i put the air control dial thing to defrost it doesn't click in to the notch. All the other ones click in to their notches but when i let go of the dial after putting it to defrost it slides out a little bit, still works though. I noticed this on another pat I test drove too. It never used to do this unil I got home from a camping trip where I did some off roading :s
