Are the patriots independent front suspension or straight axle??

NOOB!!!!!! Lol, fully independent front suspension, of course, as I'm sure you could tell by the soft ride and lack of flex. Four-wheel disc brakes on the 4WD's, and front disc/rear drums on the FWD's.

The only non industrial truck with a live front axle you can buy anymore is a wrangler as far as I can think of, and only vehicles that are body on frame have live rear axles (trucks and some suvs), oh and pre 2015 mustangs.

I am a work in progress with Jeep's seeing as how I am brand new to the Jeep community. I was debating with a guy and I was pretty sure it had "IFS" but he swore straight axle so I didn't want to argue the point when I didn't truely know.

Just a quick look under the front end will tell you it's independent. Those suspension arms are a dead giveaway. Same on the rear.
