Hi, been the owner of a Patriot (2 ltr Sport CRD in Jeep green)for two months now and just found your forum. Good stuff, love the community so joined!
Located in Rutland in the UK, use the vehicle mainly for our shooting/fishing trips around country. Had 4k miles when purchased and now excellent av. mpg of 45+ after my 3.5k miles so far, mostly on A & B roads. Decent load space for kit and solid off-road capability over muddy fields and banks so I'm v. happy with it so far, apart from trying to get used to six forward gears.
4x4's are a real negative here for their green credentials (or apparent lack of them) so now it's a real joy to smirk and quote the mpg and CO2's when criticised by the PC neighbours with their Beemers!

It's a great site, you're gonna like it. Good to have another CRD owner here. Yep, the mileage is excellent, I'm sorry our American friends can't get to enjoy it. My on-board computer currently shows 35.6 mpg (US) and I've seen it show over 40 mpg.
