Canadian Lancaster on a , once in a lifetime visit to UK . Doing the airshow rounds with the RAF BBMF Lancaster , before returning to its home base in Hamilton Ontario .

Only 2 flying examples left in the world , out of 7500 built .

Thanks for sharing! The sound these water cooled aircraft engines make is much smoother than the multi-row air cooled radials on the B-17 and B-24. As a lover of "heavy iron" flying machines, just seeing a pair of these in flying condition does the heart good!

i remember as a kid making lots of airfix model planes - this one was my favourite, by a long way !

Just thought you may like to see another never again historic flight. Would you believe the same man designed both the Lancaster & the Vulcan ( Roy Chadwick ) but only 10 yrs between both designs ( 1942 & 1952 )
