Beautiful new color. But I wander why the Jeep horizontal trim just above the plate was changed to dark plastic insted of the same color as the rest of the car.

Is that a limited thing, or do some of the sports have the body color trim as well? On my 08 Sport its black just like this one. I was wondering if I could get it replaced with a Surf Blue piece?

Okay. I got some detailed interior shots of the console here (2nd post 1st page) that people have been asking for. The titles above each photo are pretty self explanatory.

Alas, like everyone else, I can't figure out how to get the cupholder light rings to light up. How the hell am I supposed to see where to put my beer after leaving the bar? :wow:

I'm beginning to wonder if this feature was dropped during production. I can't find anything about it in the manual or paperwork. But my dealer is going to the factory rep to try and solve the mystery.

Sweet!! As for the GPS nav system is that the in-dash mygig (now uconnect gps) system or a portable one?

As for picture requests, can you show us the center console area, especially down by the cup holders, and the center armrest/storage area?
I got an aftermarket Garmin portable GPS. Works wonderfully.

That color is amazing.

I must say too, that arm rest looks to be an exact replacement for the current one. Ill call my dealer tomorrow and see how much for it. I love the storage space and the soft touch.

Also, I thought the panel that EuroPat mentioned was supposed to be color matching. Hmm.

Great Pat at a great price. Congrats!

Thanks! Best pics of the new features by far.

One more picture request...that of the cubby under the gearshift...is it even useful?

Went to the dealership last saturday. What I didn't like was the arm rests of the rear doors. They're still hard as a stone..

Congrats on your new ride!

Ok it was touched on earlier, but somebody needs to go buy a new center console armrest and write up a how-to for us to do the retrofit into our pre-2009s

i cant figure out how to take the lid off that center console...

ordered 2009 tonight

Can someone please help answer a question for me. I ordered my new 2009 4x2 Limited tonight for my next company car and I am very excited about it. My question is this: The radio says am/fm 6 disc DVD MP3 Sirius. Is this radio the large monitor w/o the navigation or is this just a regular looking radio that has sirius built in? I am hoping that the limited has the large monitor as a standard option, that would be sweet. The code is REQ if this helps.

The Limited for 2009 comes standard now with the 6 disc Sirius radio but it doesn't have the large monitor or navigation. That's the MyGIG system and it's an additional upgrade which you can get with or without navigation. I'm not sure about the REQ order code. I tried to look that one up on edmunds and didn't see it, only RER and REN.

edit: just found it in the manual, REQ is just the code for the standard deck

thanks a lot. i felt that was the answer. just wishful thinking... what the heck, still very excited about this being a company ride. My choices were this, a base model Dodge Journey, Sebring Limited, base charger, base impala. I think i chose the best one.
It's still a really nice radio with a dot matrix display capable of some graphics. It also has the Uconnect system, aux jack and plays mp3 and wma files on just about any CD or DVD recordable media.

Honestly I think the MyGIG and navigation options are nice but overpriced. For less money you can get an ipod and use the included ipod cable and buy a portable nav system that you can use in any car, it's just not all wrapped up into one unit.

Congratz on the order. Let us know when it comes in.

thanks for the info. can you elaborate on the graphics capabilities of this unit..
Each dot in the matrix can be used to form basic images. For instance when connected to a bluetooth phone, you see a graphical image of a battery meter, a phone, picture of an antenna showing signal strength etc. They're pretty basic images, nothing too fancy but nicer than a segmented LED display.

ya, you cant watch movies or anything on it tho :D

Do you think you could get us a picture of the radio showing those?

I like that new blue! Very sharp, is that an ashtray in the center console? I just have the electrical plug there. We don't smoke, but did you have to order a smoker's package to get it, if it IS an ashtray. By the way, congrats! You will love it!

I'll update the picture of the cupholders and gearshift cubby this weekend. To answer your question, the gearshift cubby is a bit shallow but it's deep enough to be useful. I originally was going to put my cellphone down there but I actually prefer to put in the large cubby above the glovebox and the rubber liner keeps it from sliding around.

Thanks johnda. I believe that the small gear shift cubby is an ashtray if you get the smoker's group. It's good for change and small things otherwise.

bump....Love the color, which btw the website just doesnt capture the color correctly. and THE SITE IS STILL FUBAR, on jeep.com it has 2 2008 sections. on test.jeep.com the code is kinda of buggy and I guess they dont know you can get uconnect(tunes only REN) on a sport.
