They have, but also we aren't always proving our points to them. Granted they're not likely to believe anything we say even if we show them all the proof in the world, their brainwashing is that bad. But, as fun as taunting them can be, and as guilty of that as I can be at times, it doesn't exactly help our case when one of them is actually trying to spread their crap and say "but science" and we respond with a bunch of jokes and insults about them, ya know? Even if the jokes and insults are true.

Yes, I know, that hasn't been nearly the case here, but I know firsthand how online conversations can get, and how hard it can be to find proof of the truth when it's restricted so, but we still gotta do a bit more than just holler 'Merica and wade through them. We don't always provide a united, logical front against such attacks on truth and liberty, and that's exactly what they want. The important, civilized discussions aren't being had, and while the Democrats are overall of course trying to ensure that's the case, true Americans aren't always exactly trying to see it happen, from what I've seen.

I think the media wins in the end. I think propaganda and brain washing is an inevitable victory for the left. It really is only a matter of time. How do we even defend agains the money and power of the media? I mean look at natzi germany. They had almost the whole country believing it was the jews fault. Look at north korea, most people there think the rest of the world is backwards.

did you watch any of crowder's debunking videos? While he is a comedian, and he does toss in a few jokes. His debunking videos are filled with facts, references, confirmations, and truth. Everything he says is backed up by facts from authoritative sources. The vox guy's feelings got hurt, not because crowder called him names, but because he was made to look a fool.

You've touched on why conservatives don't get much respect: they don't ask for it. Progressives are much better at marketing their ideas. They have even coined the word "progressive" to describe 19th Century socialism. Public radio cloaks ideas that many consider weird with classical music and a patronizing demeanor. Donald Trump and Rush Limbaugh may have facts on their side and arguments that have credibility, but they come off looking like conceited blowhards -- they play right into the liberal/progressive caricature of them. To borrow the malapropism of the Three Stooges, they "resemble that remark." When I first heard Limbaugh I thought he was a liberal trying to make conservatives look stupid. After a couple decades I realize he actually means what he says, but he doesn't realize that his schtick is actually working to undermine his point of view.

What it really comes down to is are we trying to change people's minds or make them look stupid? Anyone who treats another person like they're stupid won't earn the right to be heard. I think a lot of progressive/liberals would change their minds if they were approached with respect and cogent arguments, not smirks and one-liners.

I've tried this. The problem is logic and reason and cogent arguments don't work on most of them. They refuse to leave their ideologies no matter what. I think it has more to do that they look like they are leftist to their friends than actually appearing logical. Soon as they say something that supports a right idea, they get thrown under the bus by their friends and family. Therefor I think they are afraid to even show any resemblance of logic, or quite frankly to even try to reason through their own viewpoints. They don't want to get get any backlash and just assume that the left is right. The media says so after all.

Haha, I've run Adblock Plus for probably 8 years now. There's a few sites it doesn't work on, mainly sites for longer videos like CW, but it works like a charm on YouTube, Pandora, and here in the forums.

So does Adblock Plus. 18 ads right now, getting blocked on my screen.

Also I wonder is President Trump playing to the libs a little bit, using his expert trollishness, to trick them into making even bigger fools of themselves, and ensure he gets 2020 so he can keep lowering taxes, winning at winning, and maybe pull out a few more tricks to show them the error of their ways.

I found the best ad blocker is nano and nano defender. Nano is your typical adblocker, but it works with nano defender to make the sites not able to detect any adblocker. So it works everywhere on every site.
