Where to hide a spare key?

I'd like to put a spare key for my '14 Pat somewhere under the vehicle. I wouldn't use those magnetic containers that hold a key. I did once and it fell off the car after a short while. Anyone suggest a location/ method?

Maybe in another pocket? That way you're not leaving it on the vehicle itself.

You might keep a door key in your wallet.
Use electrical tape to affix one to the roof rack.
Behind a license plate.
Back before hoods were locking, I used to keep a spare key in my air filter.
I don't know what kind of places you park your Patriot, but I never lock my rear hatch. If I leave my keys in the car I can still get in, then climb over the seats.

Could always keep a door key in your wallet. Then just hide a regular key inside somewhere. My brother keeps a spare key attached to something under his dash with a thin zip-tie.

I keep a non-chipped key in a velcro pouch under the rear bumper; the pouch has adhesive backing that will stick to plastic or metal. That key will only open the doors. Then, I keep a spare chipped (transponder) key taped to the inside of the glove box; that one will start the car.

Good idea. Can you tell me where you live and what color your Jeep is?

Just bring your hammer; that's the "key" used by most people around here.

My Jeep is red. The spare key is in my wallet. My wallet is black. Your eyes will be too unless you're awfully slick!
