I just picked up some new tires and rims, and of course I went larger for the tires.

I went with a 235/70/16 and a 16-8" rim with 4" backspacing. I currently have 2" wheel spacers installed.

Wheels=Pro Comp Alloys Series 69 16/8" - 4" backspacing
Tires= Falken Wildpeak AT3W 235/70/16 109t

I have read that people have used these tire sizes on patriots without problems but they seem to never mention their rims or the amount of backspacing they are working with. Ive done the math and, with 2" spacers, the new tire will sit .825" deeper in the well and sit .9" higher than stock setup. (215/60/17 tires on 17" 1.5 backspaced rims)

Thoughts?

Doesn’t seem like too much of a problem. I would find an empty parking lot and cut circles going both directions at full lock to check for rub. Then find somewhere you can fully articulate the suspension.
