The difference in price is a mere $30,000.
The more I see of new cars, the more I like my Patriot!
The difference in price is a mere $30,000.In terms of cost, repairing a cracked frame or chassis can be expensive, especially if the damage is extensive. Ready to pay $2000-2500.
I'd rather buy a new car.
This would be a bolted on subframe, not requiring and welding or straightening of the uni-body frame. In terms of cost, repairing a cracked frame or chassis can be expensive, especially if the damage is extensive. Ready to pay $2000-2500.
I'd rather buy a new car.
The Patriot is worth what others are willing to pay for it...I also had this choice to fix a repair at $2k by the time it was done...Lowballing buyers made me make the repairs and dump another $500 for engine, tranny oil changes, new plugs and front brakes...I've decided to keep it, until I have a bigger DP for that $40k business car loan...At this point with 70k miles and the Pat running smooth...I should be able to get $5k to $6k within the next 6month to a year....If nothing else breaks down lolOr the replacement cost!
Say the Patriot is worth $5000 and the repairs will cost $2000. You're getting a car worth $5000 for $2000. Or you can trade it for peanuts (or junk it or donate it) and put out $35,000 for something new . . . and pay $800 per month for 4 years. In three months you will have paid more than the repair, and you've still got 45 more months to keep paying.
Thanks. I used this quote with several friends and it makes total sense!"The cheapest car you'll ever own is the one you own today."
