Smooths right out with shift to neutral. In the thread I just read a poll said over 80% of people had this problem, yet the posters were all over the place guessing at solutions. Has anyone ever found a definitive solution to this problem?

Wow you are really lucky. Why do the easy and cheap stuff first if that’s not the problem?My '08 needed tranny mounts around 300,000, but the motor mounts have been fine. Likewise my Pontiac didn't need motor mounts till after 250,000. I don't think I've replace mounts on any other vehicle I've owned (20+). Do the easy/cheap stuff first.
