You can get replacement digitizers, and panels on ebay and try it yourself. But you are taking on a big risk especially if the problem is actually upstream in the logic, or there is a "part issue". If that is the case you're now on the hook for several hundred dollars in parts and still have a broken head. Probably a better choice, and maybe saving yourself some money (and aggravation) is to use an exchange service. I saw a few that wanted $300+core (430n) for a refurbished and fully updated radio w/warranty. Not a bad deal.
