So I just recently plasti-dipped my rims, and all the "trim" on my 2016 jeep patriot and I love the way it came out! I originally did all black on the rims and trim but I didn't like it because I have seen plenty of patriots with that same color setup and I wanted to stand out, I keep the rims black but did all the trim Blaze green plasti-dip and I love it! I dipped the front and back of the wheel, took two off at a time and did the front and back 5 coats each and did the lugnuts separated on their own. The dip started to rip when I tighten them back on but I expected that, I am going to buy black ones and the wheels do have a little tears in one but its only noticeable up close. I waited a week to wash it and took it thru a automated car wash the ones that grip the tire and pull the car, it did NO damage to any of the dip on the wheels or the trim. Give me some honest thoughts for my first ever attempt with plasti-dip.
