So here are the links:In my unsuccessful attempts to use the service manual links in this thread, I continued searching until I found a couple of links in a Dodge Caliber forum, "Caliberforumz". There is a sticky there, ">>>> Caliber Service Manual Download<<<<" I initially downloaded the first link, but after further investigation, the root of the web address is a strange foreign site, so I moved on to the second. Open the PDF via "2007 DODGE Caliber Service Manual" link and simply save it to your computer.
I can't post my URL finding until my 5th posting.
Great find! I can confirm this works brilliantly. To anyone that has had a hard time trying to get the service manual working. I discovered a program called IEtester. This IEtester will emulate IE5- IE8 Link is here:
With IEtester all you need to do is select new IE6 tab.
Then type in the path to the default file and it works great for me. This is much easier than trying to hunt down IE6 and get it working for 64bit OS. I hope it helps others.
I think svg viewer, which is the program to view wiring diagrams, only works in Windows XP. You can either build or buy a cheap XP PC or use a virtual box like Oracle to run XP in a Win 7 or 8 window.I am looking for some wiring diagrams ,and have tried several times to download the service manual and actually open it up but am still not succesfull .I have the manual burnt onto a disc ,but have no idea how to get it open so it can be used .I even have the debugger listed above ,but getting nothing with the manual .I am not a computer pro ,any suggestions would be greatly appreciated .
Thank you ,I will try to get an xps computer running .In the meantime ,I was able to get a caliber manual downloaded and viewable ,hoping the wiring is fairly close .I think svg viewer, which is the program to view wiring diagrams, only works in Windows XP.
