I am a new pat owner like I just got it today!!!! I need advice on driving the pat sport down snowy slippery steep hills. The owners manual said warning don’t downshift on slippery surfaces you can lose control, my other vehicle I always downshifted down snowy slippery steep hills to avoid breaking ; now I am lost? Can you downshift the pat safely without losing control on snowy slippery hills?

I don't see why not. Engine braking should help keep you from locking the wheels up. It doesn't take much braking in some situations to get that to happen.
